Working within a family office, where no two days are the same. You will play a crucial role in supporting the daily activities of the personal needs of the family whilst contributing to the larger vision of philanthropy and various business ventures.
WHAT ARE YOU IN FOR?
Oversee and manage the daily operations of a high-end private office. Being across business and life, your days will be full of varied tasks that are constantly changing. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the household’s smooth operation, co-ordinating staff, managing vendors and ensuring a comfortable and efficient living environment. Here is a small snippet of what’s in store:
- Asset management - Including properties and personal assets
- Project management - helping coordinate functions, researching and executive special ad hoc projects right down to the coordination of children’s parties.
- Travel arrangements
- Act as the primary external point of contact and liaison for the family
- Personal shopping, procuring household equipment, supplies and services as needed
- Preparation and reconciliation of personal and household budgets and reconciliation of credit cards.
- Organising calendars and schedules for the Household (Principals and Children)
- Completing office and administrative tasks e.g. arranging appointments
You’ve probably gathered by now this role requires more than just some good juggling skills. You’ll need to have a knack for taking a snapshot of the day, and prioritising tasks. Your emotional intelligence, sharpness and lateral thinking are second to none and maintaining complete confidentiality is a must. Some other essentials are:
- Experience with MS Office Suite
- The ability to change lanes quickly and efficiently, picking up all the pieces on the way through
- An understanding of finances to provide a snapshot of things that need attention and what can wait!
