A Clinical Leader with an expert level of skill in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, who provides authoritative clinical counsel within the Neurosurgery and Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Screening Clinic and Multidisciplinary Service for the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service
The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Physiotherapist – Clinical Leader (Neurosurgery and Orthopaedic Screening Clinic) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide specialist clinical physiotherapy practice in the delivery of independent, evidence based, diagnosis, case management and physiotherapy for patients referred for Specialist Orthopaedic /Neurosurgery opinion
- Engage in advanced practice including independently referring for diagnostic imaging procedures as required to support patient assessment and case management
- Professionally contribute to the delivery of service and expand delivery of musculoskeletal services into new areas as required, such as the emergency department or community locations
- Provide consultancy for the GCHHS across disciplines and to external organisations on non-operative management of musculoskeletal conditions.

About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Qualifications –tertiary degree in Physiotherapy from a recognised tertiary institution
- AHPRA Registration
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent full time
- Base salary ranging from $140 767 - $146 883 per annum

The Neurosurgery and Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Screening Clinic and Multidisciplinary Service provides optimal non-surgical treatment for Orthopaedic Outpatients for the GCHHS with the aim to ‘give the right intervention at the right time to the right person'. This service model is being implemented state-wide.
