Job description

We are a locally owned and operated allied health clinic offering assessment and interventions across the lifespan.  We value ourselves on providing expert evidenced based interventions to clients and their families in the Gympie, Wide Bay and South Burnett regions.

Wide Bay Therapy are looking for a Physiotherapist to join our team of Occupational Therapists, Early Intervention Educational Specialists and Therapy Assistants. You will enjoy working in the community and clinic, across a wide range of caseloads. NDIS, MAC & Medicare are the leading funding bodies managed by Wide Bay Therapy, with the majority of the work in the NDIS space.  Ideally we are looking for a Physiotherapist with an interest in Paediatrics, but a split case load across adults and children is also possible.

Your role will include:

  • Providing personalised and goal centred interventions with the potential to start group support with children and teenagers, and adults.
  • Work with clients, their families and key stakeholders to create individualised plans
  • Complete comprehensive assessments
  • Complete and provide detailed and accurate reports and applications as required by the client or funding body, as well as contributing to multi-disciplinary team reports.
  • Work collaboratively with OT’s and Early Intervention Education Specialists to develop holistic therapy plans for ongoing intervention and support programs
  • High level of communication and commitment to client relations
  • Prescription and trialing of assistive technologies relevant to your role.
  • Proficient computer skills, excellent time management skills and the ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work independently and within a small team.
  • Experience working with children is preferred, however, mentoring and support is provided for any level of experience.

What we can offer you

  • Part-time or full-time employment including flexible working conditions to suit your lifestyle.
  • Generous remuneration package according to your years of experience, which is competitive and above industry award.
  • A mixed caseload of adult & paediatric clients, with the option of specialisation in an area of your choice, depending on your career goals
  • Professional development allowance
  • Laptop, phone and access to a company vehicle
  • Regular team meetings with in-house transdisciplinary professional development
  • Senior OT on hand to provide professional supervision and mentoring.  Paid supervision with an external Physiotherapist to promote and develop your personal career goals.
  • Experienced Practice Manager to support your role, ensuring that your clinical skills are maximised without excessive administrative duties.
  • End of year incentives when KPI’s are met throughout the year.
  • A bonus day off on your birthday.
  • Fun work culture that nurtures learning, integrity and passion for our work.

Minimum requirements

  • Appropriate tertiary qualification
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Current NDIS worker screening (or eligible for)
  • Current QLD drivers licence
  • National Police Check (or eligible for)
  • Current CPR & First Aid certificate
