Local Government Organisation seeking a Planning Officer for a short-term assignment to June 2023
Your new company
Government organisation seeking a temporary Planning Officer to join their Infrastructure and Environment department. You’ll be working within a local government entity, promisingly located in the largest growth corridor of the South East Queensland region.
Your new role
Your new role will see you engaged on a contract basis to lead and support the internal team in planning documents, strategy and policy for the development of open spaces, recreational and sporting facilities throughout Ipswich. You will undertake research in relation to parks, reserves, and open space networks to ensure the appropriate, functional and safe design solutions are implemented.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful applicant will have worked on large landscape projects previously as a Landscape Architect. You will also have the following qualities: To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:
Strong written & verbal communication
Professional qualifications in Park Planning, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design or above
Strong time management & organisational skills
A high-level attention to detail and a professional manner
Hold a current Australian Driver’s Licence
Hold a Construction White Card
