About this role
- Join the NSW Health Data Governance Reform Program to help transform how NSW Health manages and utilises its data.
- As part of a dedicated small team, the role will be involved in developing and implementing data-related policies, frameworks, and guidance materials.
- This role provides the opportunity for individuals passionate about privacy and data to leverage their project management and communication skills to work with multiple stakeholders across NSW Health to support the delivery of the program.
Responsibilities will include:
- Provide project management and secretariat support
- Develop and maintain materials to enhance data governance capability across NSW Health
- Serve as the primary point of contact for data governance-related enquiries
- Report on the program’s Key Performance Indicators
About you
- Passionate about the effective and safe use of data to deliver impactful outcomes
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Possess effective time management skills and take responsibility for accurate and timely work results
- Demonstrated skills and experience in undertaking all stages of project management
- Experience in the provision of Policy and Project advice in a complex and multi-disciplinary environment
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
- Prior experience in data governance in government or Health would be advantageous

Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and stakeholder interests.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including government departmental brief and policy writing.
- Experience in data analytics, governance, or technology and familiarity with data governance concepts and terminology.
- Ability to distil information from multiple complex sources into an easily digestible format.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel), familiarity with navigating business intelligence dashboards (and ideally developing).

COVID-19 Vaccination Compliancy
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course (2 doses) of a Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine (except for the Janssen COVID-19 vaccine which is approved by the TGA as a single dose primary course). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
