Portfolio Management Business Partner

The Team

The Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) represents a central point of investment Portfolio Management and governance for project investments across all EnergyAustralia. The EPMO enables business agility and delivery of our strategy by ensuring we invest in the right balance of projects at the right time to achieve optimal strategic outcomes.

The Two New Opportunities

Reporting to the Portfolio Management leader in the EPMO, you will cover a sub-set of the company-wide portfolio of projects, either Energy/Corporate or IT/Retail projects, and will be responsible for working across the entire ‘strategy to execution’ process, focusing on investment prioritisation and allocation. You will improve the planning, mobilisation and overall execution of investments within committed dimensions through regular consultation and analysis, advice and coaching.

One of these senior roles will focus on Energy Transition, Trading and Corporate project portfolios; whilst the other will focus on Retail Customer and IT/Technology project portfolios. However, there will be an opportunity for those successful to cross-skill across portfolios.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

This is a hands-on role with accountability to senior stakeholders across multiple business units; the ability to collaborate and influence is a must. Due to the nature of this role, we do require the following qualifications and experience:

• Degree qualification in Business, Engineering, Finance, Information Technology, or other related discipline.
• Extensive investment portfolio, enterprise PMO, program and project governance and/or delivery experience within large, complex organisations.
• Demonstrated ability to advise on and guide projects throughout the entire life cycle.
• Subject Matter Expertise in IT/Technology/Retail OR Energy/Construction/Corporate Portfolio Management.
• Experienced in portfolio prioritisation, performance analysis and provision of insights and recommendations that optimise value delivery and investment outcomes.
• Proven ability to coach, mentor, advise and support people in Portfolio Management, project delivery, governance, financial management, benefits management, and value realisation practices.
