Your role and responsibilities:
- Collaborating with the recruitment team to interview and select top-tier support staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and consistent services to legal teams and clients;
- Fostering support staff engagement through clear expectation setting, regular feedback, and performance evaluations;
- Developing the capabilities of your team members to enhance overall performance;
- Efficiently allocating work across the support team to optimise support for the practice group and partners in client delivery;
- Monitoring and upholding service quality standards, identifying improvement opportunities, and driving progress;
- Collaborating with finance and Practice Managers to provide consistent messaging on group operational metrics; and
- Championing new initiatives, acting as a liaison for business services, and aiding in the implementation of enhanced processes and services.
The skillset you need:
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workload effectively to meet deadlines;
- Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and demonstrate commercial acumen;
- Sound operational management skills and excellent communication abilities (both written and verbal);
- Adaptability and a track record of dealing with ambiguity and evolving circumstances; and
- Strong judgment, problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn and implement new ways of working and systems.
