Job description
The successful candidate will support the implementation of Government's industrial relations policy agenda, by actively fostering effective and professional work group collaboration, provision of consistent and quality advice, progression of bargains and projects within and on behalf of the IRPS team in an environment where matters are often time sensitive and require discretion.

The key responsibilities:
Advising, consulting, collaborating and negotiating with government entities, employee organisations and other key stakeholders to promote collaborative industrial relations and ensure cross-sector industrial implementation strategies are responsive to individual agency needs;
Advocating on behalf of the Queensland Government in the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission and other tribunals, in workplace bargaining negotiations and presenting to a number of diverse audiences on employment relations matters;
Preparing and presenting high level discussion papers, cabinet submissions, correspondence, briefing material and advice on a range of complex employment relations issues;
Providing high quality technical and strategic policy advice to public sector entities on employment relations matters, and building industrial relations capability across the sector;
Leading or contributing to identified elements of broader industrial relations projects and activities;
Representing the Queensland Government in intra and inter-governmental forums; and
Helping to solve industrial relations challenges through identifying issues, opportunities, risks, implications, strategies (including risk mitigation), and options for resolution.
