Principal Consultant - Red Team

About the role:

Kinetic IT are looking to hire an experienced Principal Security Consultant – Offensive Security to lead our technical assurance team in Australia. This senior role is designed for an individual with extensive experience in offensive security techniques, such as penetration testing, Red Teaming, and physical assessments, and someone who can develop innovative approaches for broad technical assurance against a wide range of target environments.

The successful candidate will demonstrate technical expertise in identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities and possess the leadership qualities necessary to build and nurture a world-class offensive security team. The Principal Consultant – Offensive Security plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of our offensive security practice, ensuring excellence in delivery, team development, and business growth.

If you were here today! you’ll have:

• Extensive experience in offensive security, particularly in penetration testing and Red Teaming, within the Australian market.
• A team-first mentality, with demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships at senior levels with clients, partners and internally.
• Strong understanding of the Australian cybersecurity landscape, including regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Excellent client management and business development skills, with the ability to engage at a senior level.
• Advanced knowledge of hacking techniques, tools, and methodologies, fluency in standard penetration testing tools and expertise in exploit and off-sec tool development.
• Relevant certifications include OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional), OSCE (Offensive Security Certified Expert), or similar.
• Strategic thinker with a passion for service evolution in a field that is continually changing.
