About the Role
As a Principal Data Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in crafting and implementing advanced cloud-based data solutions. Leveraging your expertise in cloud platforms and data engineering/architecture, you will design, build, and optimize data pipelines, enabling clients to make informed business decisions based on high-quality data. From data extraction and transformation to integration and modelling, you will collaborate cross-functionally to deliver tailored solutions that meet business objectives and drive growth.
Duties

• Act as a Cloud Data, Snowflake or Databricks Subject Matter Expert for clients and internal colleagues
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for ETL processes within cloud environments.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
• Implement data warehousing and dimensional data modelling concepts to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies, such as Data Science, Big Data, and Cloud Computing, to contribute to continuous improvement.
• Provide expert technical advice and contribute to project phases including strategy, advisory, design, testing, and deployment.
• Work closely with clients to deliver value-driven data solutions.

Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience in the Data and Analytics Industry, preferably working as a Technical Lead, Managing/Principal Consultant or similar
• Experience working commercially with Cloud Technology (AWS or Azure preferred)
• Commercial experience working with Snowflake, preferably on multiple projects (AWS, Azure, Databricks or SnowPro Certification a bonus)
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL, ETL and BI tools
• Experience with Enterprise Data and Analytics projects required, Consulting experience preferred
• Proficiency in data warehousing and dimensional data modelling concepts
