The role
Reporting to the Manager, Mental Health Alcahol & Other Drugs (MHAOD) Planning Unit, you will contribute to the development of statewide service and/or system planning for Queensland Health through research, analysis and interpretation of data and information.
The successful person
You will have demonstrated:
- Demonstrated experience in and ability to develop service and system planning products in a large, complex service delivery organisation, preferably related to mental health and/or alcohol and other drug services in Queensland.
- Ability to project manage, complex and time-critical projects, including the ability to respond and adapt to changing priorities and competing demands.
- Strong research and critical analysis skills, including the ability to translate health literature, qualitative and quantitative data and information to develop relevant products, including service needs analyses, strategic or state-wide service plans.
- High level written communication, strategic and analytical skills and capacity to develop and compile reports, discussion papers, presentations and submissions for diverse audiences.
- High level negotiation, consultation, facilitation and verbal communication skills, including experience in cultivating productive working relationships and partnerships across a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Possession of relevant qualifications, while not mandatory, would be highly regarded.

The Division collaborates with health system leaders, Hospital and Health Services, clinical networks, key healthcare service providers, research and academic organisations, State and Commonwealth agencies as well as non-government organisations and other divisions.
