In Australia, they own and operate this iron ore brownfield mine. This specific site has another 20 years of iron ore production. About the role and client: The position is for an Operational Technology Engineer OR Process Control Engineer with Mining / Mineral Processing plant experience and associated equipment.
A high level of understanding of Electrical Engineering and Network Engineering is needed to fulfill this role. The position also requires someone who understands networking and telemetry-based systems between PLC’s on a mine site. Must have proven experience within the mineral processing sector.
Execute Layer 3 switching with proficiency. Implement basic cybersecurity best practices and standards. Demonstrate experience in virtualization and server maintenance (Essential).
Utilize CIMPLICITY SCADA and GE Historian to enhance system efficiency (Advantageous). Possess knowledge of communication protocols (Essential). Hands-on experience with Firewall, particularly Palo Alto (Essential).

Proficiency in Moxa and Cisco (Advantageous). Familiarity with PLC and SCADA control systems, radio, and telemetry-based time series data (TETRA DAMM Communication Systems).
Experience with Historian Platform, Proficy Historian 2022, P2. Knowledge of IT – Cybersecurity associated with OT network. Familiarity with Profibus DP and PA, Modbus/TCP Siemens, ABB GE Proficy.
