ABOUT THE ROLE
Due to current and future growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a junior Process Engineerwho wants to add to their initial experience already gained within a manufacturing industry, with a business with a very healthy project pipeline for 2024/25 and beyond.
This is, initially, a 2-year fixed-term, full time opportunity, working directly with our Production Management, Technical and Project Management teams.
This role will oversee and coordinate a healthy range of projects at our established Pt Melbourne plant, and other, involving commissioning and equipment layout.

Reporting to the Production Manager - Extrusion and Compounding, and working closely with our experienced Project Manager, you will be involved in:
- the installation and commissioning of new equipment and production lines.
- assisting in the implementation of engineering projects for cable production equipment installation and implementation within budget, time, cost and quality and safety.
- the design, implemention, controlling, and optimizing industrial processes associated with all steps in the production of flexible cables.
- Exciting projects including building, utilities, services, equipment commissioning and layout.
- Analysing and optimising existing processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance productivity, quality and reduce costs.
- Offer support in troubleshooting and technical issues, including post-installation follow-ups, to facilitate effective operation and maintenance of equipment.
- Assist in design and conducting training sessions with operators (and maintenance) on equipment operation
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
- Requesting quotations, negotiating prices, within tolerances, and delivery lead times with the suppliers.
- Selecting, qualifying and coordination of contractors' activities in line with Tricab's WHS Contractor Management requirements.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in the role you must have:
- Recent Bachelors degree qualification in Process Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Possess strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Proven ability to project manage
- Ability to work autonomously (self-management) and collaboratively in a face paced environment.
- Detail orientated with a focus on quality and accuracy
- Capable of managing multiple tasks, demonstrate flexibility, and effectively handling various project components.
- Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
