Opportunity for Entry Level through to Experienced Technicians
Reporting through to the Processing Supervisor, we are seeking Process Technicians, with prior experience in a gold process plant, experience operating mobile equipment or applications from individuals with a desire to commence a career as a Process Technician at our Boddington Operation.
The Process Technician General Earthworks / Utilities positions support the operation through maintaining a high standard of housekeeping across all areas of the process plant. This will include operating a variety of mobile equipment to maintain unsealed roads, carparks, laydown areas, stockpiles, tip heads. As part of the Utilities team, you will also be assisting with general spillage clean up and hosing down areas of the processing plant and assisting with general Process Technician duties.
As a Process Technician at Boddington, you will participate in the operational functions within the Process Plant to achieve optimal operational and production goals in a safe manner while ensuring compliance with relevant procedures, polices, legal requirements and consent conditions.
Key Accountabilities
- Demonstrate awareness of safety and environmental practices throughout all areas of Newmont Boddington Gold
- Consistently behave in a safe manner that prevents injury to oneself and to others.
- Ensure compliance with all procedures and reporting of unsafe/hazardous conditions to supervisors.
- Actively participate in all safety and environmental meetings and audits, risk assessments and Toolbox meetings.
- Complete pre-starts to ensure equipment is maintained to a high standard and defective equipment is repaired.
- Ensure equipment integrity is not compromised by maintaining high standards of housekeeping.
- Provide support and communications to supervisors in the optimisation of operations and maximum availability of plant equipment in all areas of the Process Plant.
- Perform and coordinate plant inspections as per schedules and according to set operating parameters and procedures.
- Inspect and audit work areas and practices for compliance with site standards, procedures and policies.
- Maintain 100% completion of all mandatory training competencies.
- Participate in the continued development of training manuals and relevant documentation.
- Encourage and support workplace diversity and inclusion.
About you
We are seeking applications with experience in the operation of mobile equipment, including Graders, Articulated Moxy Trucks, Water Carts, Bobcats, IT Loaders, or those with experience as a Gold Process technician including operational knowledge Flotation, Control room (Yokogawa desirable), Elution, Residue Disposal, Gold Room, Grinding & Crushing.
You will be a team-oriented individual with a genuine interest in commencing or continuing your career as a Process Technician at Boddington. You will be computer literate, hold a current manual C class driver’s licence and demonstrate a safe, positive attitude to your work. An HR driver’s licence would all be advantageous. Your “can do” attitude and your willingness to participate in team objectives and goals will be essential to your success in this role.

Whilst part of the GEW / Utilities team, you will work an 8/6 Dayshift only roster. Our Process Technicians, work 7 days, 7 off, 7 nights 7 off to maintain around the clock operational coverage of the Process Plant.
