Your new company
A major government organisation based in Perth CBD, is seeking an experienced Procurement and Contracts Specialist to join a team. Initially, this contract will be offered on a 3-6 month temporary basis, with extensions offered should all go well. You will be required to work full-time hours, and will be paid at a competitive hourly rate.
Your new role
Within this role, you will be responsible for:
- Providing specialist advice around complex and high-risk contracts
- Support in contract formation, tender documentation, evaluation and procurement planning
- Redeveloping existing contracts, as well as identifying scope for new projects and looking at innovative procurement solutions
- Implement and manage contracts on behalf of the branch
- Contribute and assist with the development of procurement policies, standards and guidelines
- Mentor Contracts Officer as required, to support the workflow across the team
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:
- Previous experience working as a procurement facilitator
- Previous experience in developing and managing high-risk contracts
- Advanced written communication skills with confidence in handling technical procurement documentation
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent initiative and the ability to support a team
