This role will:
- Provide strategic and tactical advice, support, and solutions to inform and influence business decision making on procurement related activities and projects within the Commercial and Property team.
- Manage all contracts and supplier relationships for property related operational requirements across the portfolio i.e., utilities, security, maintenance of essential services and emergency responses.
- In consultation with the Head of Procurement, lead and develop procurement strategies in relation to all property specific sourcing projects.
- Continuously monitor procurement processes and procedures to ensure that the needs of the business are managed in accordance with the department's governance framework, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Support the delivery of training and development programs for staff and contractors.
- Collaborate with business managers to forecast, plan, develop, review and optimise spend for the relevant categories.
- Strong experience in procurement planning, governance and reporting in a complex organisation including an understanding of relevant policies, processes, and systems.
- Experience dealing with projects within property sector relating to understanding of market, legislation, dispute resolution.
- Knowledge of NSW Government procurement procedure and practice would be valuable.
