RAAFA has an exciting new opportunity for an entry-level Procurement Officer to join our amazing Procurement Team based out of our Central Support Office in South Perth. This role will focus on sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships to support RAAFA's business units. Your ability to negotiate, think analytically and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders will make you an ideal candidate for this role. This role as the Procurement Officer:
- Oversee Purchase Order requests from employees.
- Prepare plans for the purchase of equipment, goods/services, and supplies.
- Follow and enforce RAAFA's procurement policies and procedures.
- Review, compare, analyze and approve products and services to be purchased.
- Manage inventories and maintain accurate purchase and pricing records.
- Maintain and update supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times and product ranges.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align procurement activities with business needs.
- Maintain relationships with external stakeholders.
- Provide support to other Procurement team members as required.
- Prepare Procurement reporting as required.
About you:
- Demonstrable experience as a Procurement Officer or in a similar role (desirable but not essential).
- Proficiency in using Procurement Software and tools is desired (preferably Coupa).
- Knowledge of Procurement Governance & Risks.
- Ability to problem solve and demonstrate successful negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Comprehensive knowledge of end-to-end procurement processes.
- Strong analytical skills and detail-orientated.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, oversee multiple procurement projects at once and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft suit (including Excel).
