About us

Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company (KUFPEC) is an international upstream company engaged in exploration, development and production of crude oil and natural gas outside the State of Kuwait. KUFPEC Australia Pty Ltd (KAPL) is a subsidiary of KUFPEC engaged in the exploration, development, and production of oil and gas activities in Australia mainly through non-operated interests in joint ventures.

About the role

KUFPEC Australia is looking for an experienced Procurement Officer to join the team on a permanent full-time basis. Reporting to the Commercial & Planning Manager and working closely with the management team, this role is responsible for two primary areas: contract and procurement management and facilities management for the Australian subsidiary.

The focus of the role is development and implementation of contracting policies and procedures, managing the contracting process from approvals to award, negotiations, as well as management of the procurement process for all goods and services, including execution.

Facilities management includes management of the company’s offices and corporate contracts, such as corporate travel, car parking, insurances, and administration contractors.

To summarise, this role is responsible for ensuring that the company has all the goods and services it needs to operate efficiently and effectively, at the best possible price. This includes managing the entire contracting process, from start to finish, as well as managing the company's facilities and corporate contracts.

What we are looking for in a candidate

  • Education: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, procurement & contracting, business administration or another relevant field.

  • Technical Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills, particularly Excel. Experience using SAP will be considered advantageous.
  • You have exceptional negotiation abilities.

  • You have meticulous attention to detail.

Our commitment to you

Here’s what you can expect from us:
