KUFPEC Australia Pty Ltd (KAPL) is a subsidiary of KUFPEC engaged in the exploration, development, and production of oil and gas activities in Australia mainly through non-operated interests in joint ventures.
About the role
KUFPEC Australia is looking for an experienced Procurement Officer to join the team on a permanent full-time basis. Reporting to the Commercial & Planning Manager and working closely with the management team, this role is responsible for two primary areas: contract and procurement management and facilities management for the Australian subsidiary.
The focus of the role is development and implementation of contracting policies and procedures, managing the contracting process from approvals to award, negotiations, as well as management of the procurement process for all goods and services, including execution.
Facilities management includes management of the company’s offices and corporate contracts, such as corporate travel, car parking, insurances, and administration contractors.
To summarise, this role is responsible for ensuring that the company has all the goods and services it needs to operate efficiently and effectively, at the best possible price. This includes managing the entire contracting process, from start to finish, as well as managing the company's facilities and corporate contracts.
What we are looking for in a candidate
- Education: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, procurement & contracting, business administration or another relevant field.
- Experience: You’ll have at least 8 years of broad-ranging experience in procurement.
- Technical Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills, particularly Excel. Experience using SAP will be considered advantageous.
- You have exceptional negotiation abilities.
- Strong analytical skills are essential. You’ll be responsible to make informed decisions based on data-driven insights.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills are crucial. You’ll collaborate with suppliers, internal teams and management.
- You have meticulous attention to detail.
- Financial acumen and cost management: you’ll be expected to contribute to financial efficiency by identifying cost-saving opportunities and conducting spend analysis.
