Address Our client, a global energy transition company, is looking for a Procurement Officer to work on a 6-month contract in Perth.
Main Responsibilities:
- Guide internal teams through the full cycle of the Procure to Pay process to ensure smooth transitions from Purchase Requisition creation to the final payment.
- Create and manage Purchase Requisitions and Purchase orders based on the requirements of various departments, ensuring timely approvals and processing.
- Collaborate with internal teams to clarify specifications, quantities, and delivery timelines.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure that purchasing activities align with governance and compliance requirements.
- Provide ongoing support and answer queries to ensure adherence to procurement policies and best practices. Deliver training sessions for internal stakeholders to familiarize them with the Procure to Pay process as required.
- Verify and reconcile invoices with purchase orders and delivery notes. Ensure timely processing of invoices to facilitate prompt payments to vendors. Work closely with the Accounts Payables team in Perth to ensure timely payments.
- Train end users across the business in the P2P process.
- Work with the procurement team in Perth, Australia to escalate and solve any Purchase Order, Vendor Onboarding or Payment issues.
- Assist Procurement Services Team lead in Perth on any ongoing projects as required.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience, ideally in a manufacturing setting
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment across multiple sourcing requests.
- Strong written skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Able to work effectively in small to large multi-disciplinary teams and share and transfer knowledge within teams.
- Ability to work autonomously and in a global team (might require working across time zones).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Experience with SAP preferred but not essential.
