As a Procurement Officer, you will play a pivotal role within the Procurement Services Group. You will be responsible for managing medium procurement activities while collaborating effectively with key stakeholders. Your role will involve monitoring financial, contract management, and procurement systems compliance in line with established policies. You will negotiate and consult with various stakeholders on procurement-related matters. Your active participation within the procurement team will be crucial as you draft and negotiate contracts. Building strong professional relationships with internal clients, vendors, and staff will be key to your success.
Manage medium procurement activities in collaboration with key stakeholders, ensuring risk, probity, and transparency requirements are met
Monitor and advise on financial, contract management and procurement systems compliance in accordance with policies and procedures
Negotiate and consult with internal and external stakeholders regarding procurement and contract related issues
Participate actively in an effective and professional procurement team, including drafting and negotiating Contracts
Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal clients, vendors, and staff to ensure responsive procurement services
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Procurement Officer role brings a wealth of experience in managing medium to large scale procurement activities. You have a strong understanding of financial, contract management, and procurement systems compliance. Your excellent negotiation skills enable you to consult effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. Your experience in drafting and negotiating contracts sets you apart from others. Above all else, your ability to develop and maintain professional relationships ensures that you can deliver responsive procurement services.
Proven experience in managing medium to large scale procurement activities
Strong knowledge of financial, contract management and procurement systems compliance
Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to consult effectively with stakeholders
Experience in drafting and negotiating Contracts
Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with various stakeholders
