Production engineer
Key Responsibilities:
Main Duties
· Manage, plan, and allocate resources for manufacturing activities;
· Develop and document operating instructions and equipment specifications for production activities;
· Develop and implement production processes for new products and Engineering Change Request, offering high-quality plastic packaging and recycling solutions that align with industrial and environmental requirements;
· Evaluate current production activities and make recommendations for improvements;
· Develop process improvements to effectively utilize equipment and materials to maximize production;
· Develop best practices to improve production capacity, quality and reliability;
· Provide engineering support for production activities to ensure maximum production;
· Assist in planning, directing and coordinating the maintenance of equipment and machines in the manufacturing plant;
· Provide training and guidance to production team members to accomplish production goals;
· Assist production team members and provide technical expertise and supervision in troubleshooting and repairs of faulty products;
· Monitor production process, and identify and eliminate unsafe operations and practices;
· Summarize and analyse production data, present performance results to the management and provide recommendations.
General Duties
· Maintain knowledge and technical expertise of current production best practices, tools and techniques;
· Maintain knowledge about work safety and health regulations and ensure full compliance;
· Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement ongoing quality improvements;
· Contribute to and promote an effective teamwork environment within the production department.
Selection Criteria:
Qualifications:
· An Associate degree or higher qualifications for Engineering related field are often required for this profession
Key Knowledge Areas:
· Understanding of industrial mechanical operation system
· Understanding of the operations mechanical equipment
Experience:
· Industry experience is preferred but not essential
Essential Capabilities:
· Goals orientated;
· The ability to identify and solve problem;
Salary:
AU$ 70,000- AU$ 80,000 per annum (gross) plus superannuation.
