Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to oversee and optimize manufacturing processes within our organization Global Colours. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, exceptional organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of production management principles.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and optimize production plans to enhance manufacturing processes.
2. Manage and oversee the manufacturing process, including formulation provision and batch quantity issuance.
3. Evaluate and address manufacturing requirements considering cost, time, and labour factors.
4. Supervise staff attendance, punctuality, and reliability.
5. Allocate resources and workload efficiently, creating production schedules and assigning tasks.
6. Conduct analysis and recommend optimization strategies for production processes.
7. Generate weekly production reports and propose strategies for plant growth to senior management.
8. Update and improve production and control policies to enhance manufacturing and order management.
9. Coordinate procurement of raw materials, manage finished goods, and oversee production controls.
10. Resolve supply-related issues and ensure adequate stock availability.
11. Organize regular inventory checks and implement effective inventory management strategies.
12. Ensure quality control and manage workforce performance.
13. Enforce occupational health and safety protocols.
14. Cultivate a positive work environment and promote team communication and cohesion.
15. Oversee plant operations and maintenance, including cleaning and pre-start-up checklist usage.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum a bachelor’s degree in business, manufacturing, or related field.
- 5 years proven experience in production management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management software Fishbowl.
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.
- Experience in paint or any paint-related environments.
Salary guide is $80,000 - $90,000 + Super depending on your experience.
