Role Overview
As a Food Production Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our production & fulfilment departments. This at times will be a hands-on role and as a company we believe in leading from the front line and not just behind a computer screen.
Your responsibilities will include overseeing the production & packing processes, maintaining quality standards, and optimising efficiency. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional products to our valued customers.
This role will be based in our Sydney production facilities in Prospect NSW 2148.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations in our food production facility, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Scheduling and Coordination: Develop and implement production schedules, allocate resources efficiently, and coordinate the work of production staff.
- Staff Management & Training: Lead and motivate a team of technical and non-technical food manufacturing personnel.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor food processing to ensure compliance with specifications and HACCP program.
- Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels to ensure correct stock levels and rotation.
- Plan For Growth: As a fast-growing business you will be involved in growth planning to ensure operations are suitable for future production levels.
- Equipment Management: Ensuring correct operation, maintenance and breakdown troubleshooting for production equipment.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports to update company management on production operations and track KPI’s.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven leadership abilities, time management skills, and decision-making capabilities.
- Leadership experience in food production facilities
- Familiar with commercial food production equipment such as thermoformers, top film printers, mincers and refrigeration.
- Experience in developing and maintaining HACCP procedures.
- Experience in procurement and managing raw meat products preferred.
