Our client is a leading independent manufacturer and supplier of reinforcing products and services in Western Australia, with over 25 years of experience. They are dedicated to supplying quality reinforcing products on time with a team of experienced employees and a customer-first attitude. As a result of company growth, they are now seeking an experienced Production Manager to join their team.
About the Opportunity:
As the Production Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Company's production processes to deliver volume at the right cost, always putting the customer first. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be a key member of the management team, working towards achieving the company's objectives. A key element of you role will be expanding the capacity, efficiency & production of the factory floor & you will lead the development & implimentation of the OHS policies & procedures. You will have responsibilty for the production planning & ensuring the factory production capabilities match the customer order demands. Your ability to have oversight of customer orders, production rates, inventory levels and the day-to-day operation of the factory floor is critical to your success in this role.
About you
We are looking for someone who has experience in managing diverse production teams and has an adaptive management style. Technical steel processing knowledge is a great advantage. We value someone who is persuasive, resilient, and solutions-oriented, with innovative thinking and a willingness to try new things.
You will have experience in
Managing daily production in a manufacturing environment
OHS policies & compliance including injuries & related safety incidents.
Evaluating production plans, and inventory levels, and ensuring the factory is in balance
Mentoring and coaching staff
Interacting successfully with sales and production supervisors
Reporting to senior management on production progress, including transport schedules, quality control, and any issues affecting production
Managing the continuous improvement process
No formal qualifications are required, but an industrial manufacturing background or technical degree would be advantageous. A driver's license is required.
