Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sheet Metal Production Manager to oversee our sheet metal fabrication operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sheet metal manufacturing processes, excellent leadership abilities, and a passion for driving efficiency and quality in production environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management:
- Lead, coach, and mentor production staff to foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify training needs to develop the skills and capabilities of the team.
- Equipment Maintenance and Optimization:
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of sheet metal fabrication equipment to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to identify opportunities for equipment upgrades or process enhancements.
- Safety Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards to create a safe working environment for employees.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, promote safety awareness, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Inventory Management:
- Manage raw material inventory levels to support production schedules and minimize excess inventory.
- Work closely with procurement and logistics teams to optimize inventory turnover and control costs.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
