Production Planner

With a focus on quality, growth and continuous improvement we are seeking an experienced Production Planner, with a continuous improvement mindset to be a key player in optimising operations, fostering collaboration with internal teams, and ensuring the company's ongoing success during a rapid growth phase.

Based at our offices in Morely and reporting to the Planning and Logistics manager the role will be responsible for: 

 Description

• Create weekly detailed production schedules.
• Monitor progress of production to schedule and modify schedules as required.
• Negotiate with production managers and maintenance teams to ensure that other site activities will not impact the agreed production schedules.
• Issuing & closing of all Work Orders (production plans) to production
• Analysis of system BOM to actual material usage and output
• Supporting in the reconciling of stocktake results within area of control.
• Maintain strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.

About you: 

• Strong knowledge of Manufacturing Processes and production requirements
• 2 years experience in a similar role or proven experience working as a Production Planner/Scheduler in a manufacturing environment within the food or FMCG Industry. 
• Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes and production requirements production planning 
• Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability in planning utilising multiple data sets and variables
• Intermediate working knowledge skills in MS Office Suite (Word & Excel)
• Strong interpersonal and high degree of organisational skill
• Good problem-solving skills
• Time management and ability to work in a team & autonomously.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills across varying people demographics
• Experiencing using an ERP 
• Familiarity with Pronto
• Working knowledge of inventory principles
• Exposure to the practical aspects of project management including techniques and tools.
• Thrive on the challenge of meeting and exceeding KPIs, demonstrating a strong ability to confidently deliver results in a dynamic and goal-oriented environment.
