With a focus on quality, growth and continuous improvement we are seeking an experienced Production Planner, with a continuous improvement mindset to be a key player in optimising operations, fostering collaboration with internal teams, and ensuring the company's ongoing success during a rapid growth phase.
Based at our offices in Morely and reporting to the Planning and Logistics manager the role will be responsible for:
Description
- Create weekly detailed production schedules.
- Monitor progress of production to schedule and modify schedules as required.
- Negotiate with production managers and maintenance teams to ensure that other site activities will not impact the agreed production schedules.
- Issuing & closing of all Work Orders (production plans) to production
- Analysis of system BOM to actual material usage and output
- Supporting in the reconciling of stocktake results within area of control.
- Maintain strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
About you:
- Strong knowledge of Manufacturing Processes and production requirements
- 2 years experience in a similar role or proven experience working as a Production Planner/Scheduler in a manufacturing environment within the food or FMCG Industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes and production requirements production planning
- Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability in planning utilising multiple data sets and variables
- Intermediate working knowledge skills in MS Office Suite (Word & Excel)
- Strong interpersonal and high degree of organisational skill
- Good problem-solving skills
- Time management and ability to work in a team & autonomously.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills across varying people demographics
- Experiencing using an ERP
- Familiarity with Pronto
- Working knowledge of inventory principles
- Exposure to the practical aspects of project management including techniques and tools.
- Thrive on the challenge of meeting and exceeding KPIs, demonstrating a strong ability to confidently deliver results in a dynamic and goal-oriented environment.
