Job description

About the Business:

Sporting the dual crown of Australia’s oldest dairy and Australia’s most innovative dairy, Brownes Dairy has an exciting opportunity that would be ideally suited to someone with an interest in Supply Chain and FMCG.

Community is at the heart of what we do as we collect over 140 million litres of milk each year from more than 50 dairy farming families located in WA’s pristine Southwest region. All our Brownes Dairy products are made in WA. We are fiercely protective of our environment, pride ourselves on being a leader in sustainability and our free school tours program sees thousands of school children learn about the benefits of dairy too.

With a diverse portfolio of award-winning fresh dairy products including milk, cream, sour cream, yoghurt, flavoured milk, cold brew drinks, cheese, juice and desserts, our products are a household name in WA and are sold nationally and internationally as well. WA is our heartland.

About the Role:

The Supply Chain Department is looking for a focused individual to join the Planning Team as a full time Production Planner. Reporting to the Planning Manager, you will deliver daily and weekly production plans for all plants to ensure most efficient use of raw materials to meet the Sales Demand. The role will drive continuous improvement within the production planning process and ultimately in Customer Satisfaction.

You will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Daily reconciliation of SOH and production quantities to enable accurate and efficient planning and balancing of raw milk and cream.
  • Adopting a positive and proactive approach towards our food safety and sustainability culture
  • Timely preparation of both daily and weekly plans
  • Preparation and consolidation of factory work orders
  • Managing safety stocks of finished goods throughout the business
  • Leading Production Planning reviews, preparing data and metrics for review and identifying gaps
  • Adhering to the Health and Safety responsibilities, policies, procedures and standard operating procedures

We are seeking someone who has the ability to strategically communicate with, and influence all stakeholders. You should possess advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions whilst understanding the impacts on all areas of the business.

You will be someone who strives for high results and has a willingness to work in a demanding and rapidly changing environment.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Requires a degree education preferably with a focus in Supply Chain
  • Knowledge of, and ideally working experience of PDS and ERP Systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, preferably with advanced Excel and VBA.
  • Strong commitment to Health and Safety standards
