Main Objective:
The Production Planner is to control the demand and capacity throughput for the company while ensuring that the customer's requirements are meet through superior customer service;
- Work with key stakeholders to deliver best in class supply chain experience for customers
- Proactively work with the sales team to collaboratively deliver the sales plan and ensure supply chain risks are managed
- Own the short-term forecast to drive accuracy and product availability for customers
- Own effective and efficient production schedule and master plan, from product mix and ebitda perspective
- Work with finance and production to ensure production order compliance
- Support the Senior Planner to ensure superior customer service can be achieved
Deliverable:
- APM and customer DIFOT targets to be meet
- Customer product availability
- Order maintenance is operating system (SAP)
- Drive production schedule adherence of 98%
- Drive efficiency by actively engaging in eliminating wasteful activities from our supply chain
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate production work flow for multiple products across various lines
- Plan and prioritise operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
- Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand
- Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget
- Address issues as they arise aiming for minimum disruption
- Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives etc.)
- Prepare and submit status and performance reports
- Keep paperwork organised
- Collaborate with quality control, warehouse and other staff
- Enter new Sales Orders & closure of open sales order
- Convert planned to firm production orders & Production order control
- Produce monthly and weekly production schedule
- Attend daily Production Meetings
- Run weekly meetings on final schedule with all stakeholders
- Raise change controls & Deviations
- Raise Master data & Raise Price requests in SAP
- Raise credit note in SAP
- Support team with NPI activities
- Collaborate with the Maintenance team to plan preventative maintenance schedules
- Investigate and improve processes, productivity, quality, cost control and customer service where possible
- Upload customer forecasts and delete old forecasts as well as deleting all planned orders
- Ensure full engagement and utilisation of ERP system - SAP
Qualifications / Experience:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent work experience
- At least 3 year's experience gained within a planning/supply chain role
- Proven experience as Production Planner within a manufacturing background
- Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
- Experience in SAP ERP system (essential)
- Production and Materials planning experience is important also (BOM's, work flow planning etc)
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication abilities
