Featured on menus in Australia's leading restaurants, LP’s is now looking for a dedicated Smallgoods production team Leader to join our thriving team.
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Smallgoods Production team Leader to contribute to the efficient operation of our production facility. The successful candidate will be committed to upholding high levels of hygiene, GMP's, food safety, HACCP and WH&S standards while ensuring the preparation of top-quality food as per the Executive Chef's specifications. This role involves overseeing a small team of 4-8 individuals and collaborating to maintain and improve our production systems.
Responsibilities:
- Check production schedules to proactively plan for any changes.
- Ensure the highest food safety practices are adhered to consistently.
- Oversee the production team to ensure products are made and packed to quality standards.
- Coordinate and lead a small team for efficient production.
- Supervise and ensure the team follows established cleaning procedures.
- Maintain accurate records related to production and quality control.
- Assist in the training of new staff members.
Attributes to Succeed:
- Demonstrate a solid knowledge of food safety practices and standards.
- Experience in a similar role, preferably in smallgoods/food preparation or a large commercial kitchen facility.
- Proven experience in leading and coordinating a small team.
- Collaborative nature with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Physical fitness and capability for some heavy lifting.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills.
