Description & Requirements
This role is responsible for the effective deployment of programs such as PMR, Innovation, VE, Portfolio Simplification, etc., in line with the IBP framework. It works closely with the Head of PMO + SCD to build and deliver project and program management capability across the business and manages the development and deployment of project managers.
Responsibilities:
- Leads the development of a plan for project management capability
- Develops and executes a plan for project management capability
- Works closely with the Head of PMO + SCD to deliver systems, tools and training to build project management capability
- Reviews and builds recommendations on how to improve tools, systems and skills
- Leads programs to achieve objectives
- Works with the Head of PMO + SCD to develop programs e.g. PMR, Innovation, VE, Portfolio Simplification, etc.
- Oversee the execution of multiple projects within the portfolio, ensuring coordination and synergy.
- Lead Project Managers and Program teams, providing guidance and support to achieve Program goals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define portfolio priorities, scope, and resource requirements.
- Monitor Program performance, assess risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure effective communication across Programs and with key stakeholders.
- Evaluate and report on the overall Portfolio performance against predefined metrics.
- Manages resource allocation across programs
- Works with Global/Zone on any strategic projects that may be applicable to ANJ
- Leads and develops the team
- Develops the project managers to ensure they consistently deliver projects
- Works closely with the DMO to ensure data production is accurate
About you:
- Educated to Bachelor degree level in a related discipline
- Formal Project Management qualification (PMP, Prince2, etc.
- 5+ years' experience in Project & Portfolio Management / Operations / R&D / Value Engineering, preferably within the Food Industry
- Strong time management skills, reliable and adept at managing conflicting priorities
- Ability to build consensus through strategic vision and outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to present and discuss information in a manner that persuades, educates, and enhances understanding at all levels
- Can balance tactical day-to-day activities with a side of bigger picture strategic thinking
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills combined with strategic business focus and vision
- Strong collaborative management style, with an execution and result-oriented focus
- Strong influencing skills, stakeholder management and collaboration
- Experienced in change management and project management
- Demonstrates superior interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills to multiple levels of the organization
- Motivated, self-directed, and detail oriented.
- Able to effectively manage multiple Programs simultaneously
- Strong understanding of Program and Project Management methodologies.
- Ability to align Programs with organizational objectives and adapt to changing priorities.
