We are pleased to support our esteemed client in securing a high-calibre Program Manager, for a significant technology implementation project, with the Queensland Government.
The requirement includes overseeing, directing and coordinating multiple projects and work packages within a substantial program of work.
Role Responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing the prioritisation, planning and delivery of the program within an agreed framework and existing governance models - including, defining, scoping, planning, budgeting, scheduling, monitoring and managing the delivery of the program end‐to‐end;
- Creating accountable, high performing and engaged project teams operating across interagency and cross‐agency boundaries, including coaching and mentoring project managers and their teams;
- Planning and managing budgets appropriate to assigned projects;
- Managing risks and challenges including implementing proactive risk management practices to ensure project success;
- Working closely with resource managers to allocate resources effectively from all stakeholder groups to effectively deliver across the disciplines of design, construction and ICT and optimise resource utilisation to meet timeframes and budget;
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Effectively communicating strategies, progress, challenges and solutions to form a unified vision and understanding of the program; and
- Generating regular reports on project status and maintaining comprehensive project documentation for future reference and auditing purposes.
Role Requirements include:
- At least 5 years' experience in similar Program Manager roles;
- Extensive experience and proven capability in leading diverse teams;
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills;
- Proven capability in coordinating and delivering programmes from initiation through to handover to BAU;
- Experience with having scheduling and budgetary responsibility for projects and / or large complex programs; and
- Experience in PMBOK, PRINCE2, or OnQ project management methodologies.
