Job description

The role:

The Program ManagerSingle Employer Model will manage the Single Employer Model (SEM) program as it is embedded within Hospitals North West, North and South. Working within the GP & Primary Care Unit, work collaboratively with the Tasmanian Rural Generalist Pathway Coordination Unit, other relevant Department of Health staff and Hospitals & Primary Care staff to establish and evaluate the SEM.

  • Provide leadership, direction, support and facilitation for the SEM statewide, including ensuring program deliverables are met and supportive agreements such as the SEM 19(2) direction are maintained.
  • Provide high level specialist expertise and authoritative advice regarding strategic and policy issues impacting on the SEM statewide, including identifying, defining and developing options for complex policy and project delivery outcomes.
  • Work with Hospitals & Primary Care staff to transition and embed the operation of the SEM program to the Tasmanian Health Service.
  • Work with the Tasmanian Rural Generalist Pathway (TRGP) Coordination Unit where SEM interacts with the TRGP, including to ensure national reporting requirements are met and evaluation of the pilot is complete.

This is a Statewide role that can be completed from any region and will be part of the GP & Primary Care unit within Clinical Quality Regulation & Accreditation at the Department of Health.

Details of Appointment

Fixed term part time, day worker position working 38 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 29 January 2027.

*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

  • Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

Salary: $135,408 - $144,527 per annum (pro rata). Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

  1. Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration
