This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Full Time appointment.

Position Profile: We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our Medical Workforce Unit on a permanent full-time basis as Program Officer.

As a Program Officer, you will provide administrative support in the delivery of the state-wide Area of Need program by assisting with development of initiatives, programs and projects related to developing a sustainable medical workforce. You will also undertake research and analysis and preparation of reports, ministerial correspondence and senior management submissions. Other duties include:

  • Assess submissions, analyse national and state workforce data and prepare reports for the Minister for Health regarding determinations for unmet areas of need.
  • Prepare drafts, briefs, ministerial correspondence, responses and reports as required.
  • Participate in team activities including development of medical workforce projects.
  • Liaise with other Branches, Divisions and agencies concerning the development of medical workforce needs.

Eligibility to Apply: Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector.
