Your new company is a family business that has over 40 years of history and vast experience in development and construction in commercial, residential and industrial projects. They are a diverse company and take pride in quality design, finishes and lifestyle along with their outstanding reputation. Working within the maintenance services team, they are looking for a Project Administrator to come on board and manage all jobs across Melbourne from their head office.
Your new role
As the Project Administrator, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Being the first point of call for receiving jobs via phone and email
- Supporting pre-site administration related work with building documentation, client approvals and necessary financial approvals
- Supporting the onboarding of construction suppliers and trades
- Supporting customer enquiries and triaging based on complexity and urgency
- Rescheduling and scheduling jobs based on priority
- Assisting in meetings and providing administrative support through the processing of invoices, jobs and other duties as required
What you'll need to succeed
Proven experience in the construction / property industry within a similar capacity is needed for this position, along with:
- Strong customer service skills and an excellent phone manner
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines, work well under pressure and troubleshoot effectively
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to liaise with many different types of people positively.
- Strong IT skills, in particular Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel. Desired if the candidate has worked with job scheduling software packages, but this is not essential
- A professional who embraces the opportunity to make this role their own while also working directly with business owners and senior Directors
