Aboriginal Enterprises Australia Group is one of the Northern Territories largest and long-established Aboriginal owned employers. We are now seeking the services of an experienced and professional Project / Construction Manager.
AEAGP is a one stop shop when it comes to housing maintenance and construction, with capabilities across all aspects of construction, stretched across the entire Northern Territory.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience/proficiency in the follow areas.
- Management of allocated construction and maintenance projects, deliver to agreed plans, contract deliverables and quality in a timely fashion. Coordinate all trades and staff throughout project life cycle.
- Appropriate management of all allocated Contracts including adherence to all timings and requirements detailed in the contract schedules and terms and conditions.
- Monitor work in progress at least once weekly. Ensure where possible that jobs started in a month period are ready for invoicing the same month.
- Manage individual jobs to ensure that they are tracking to time and budget requirements, use SimPro to ensure each aspect of the work is progressing within expectations prior to work completion. Ensure all employees and subcontractors follow mandated job flow processes.
- Management of all staff under supervision including Biannual performance agreements with assistance from the HR Manager. Deal with conflict swiftly, do not walk past unacceptable behavior. Drive NT operations and culture to enable our strategic plan through the four strategic pillars.
- Management of sub-contractors under your employ including AEAGP site inductions. Site inductions are to be completed prior to sub-contractors working on any AEAGP premises.
- Ensure compliance with all IMS systems, oversee, and drive any business improvement activities as directed by the CEO.
- Keep the CEO informed of any significant issues once known including staffing and training liabilities.
- Interface with other AEAGP Group mangers in relation to resource use such as staff cross levelling when required.
- Provide physical onsite assistance on projects when needed.
- Actively promote a safe working environment and advise management of any known WHS issues should they arise as soon as practicable.
Ideally, we are looking to employ an NT based local who is looking for a long term position, though we are equally happy to consider interstate applicants. We are looking for candidates with Australian working rights.
