Justice Connect’s acclaimed Innovation team undertake some of the most cutting-edge work at the intersection of justice, communications and technology. The multidisciplinary team work on projects that aim to scale Justice Connect’s reach and impact and improve the experience of people seeking legal help and the lawyers that help them. We aim to improve service efficiency by building service provision and consumer facing tools, allowing us to extend our reach to a growing cohort of people and not-for-profit organizations needing legal help.
Our deep understanding of legal help consumers combined with our leading expertise in the law, research, design, communications, digital outreach, and product development, ensure our projects are designed to meet the communities needs and deliver meaningful outcomes.

What you will achieve in the role
In this role, you’ll work to:
- Coordinate and manage project timelines and key milestones, including through use of project management and collaboration platforms.
- Provide support to development team on product development and maintenance including product testing.
- Assist with user on-boarding to Innovation Team technology products.
- Coordinate funding application creation, submission and ongoing reporting
- Organising meetings and workshops for internal and external stakeholders
A week in this role
If you were here last week, you would have:
- Your week will commence with a team sprint planning meeting on Monday morning. You will contribute to setting the priorities for the sprint ahead and the work you should be focused on will be clear to you after this meeting.
- You will assist with testing an update to one of our technology products before we make the update live. You will collaborate with our product managers and development team, noting any issues in collaboration spaces and helping to resolve these.
- You will receive a request for user support from an external user of one of our products. You will prepare a ‘how-to’ video and send this to the person as well as adding it to our troubleshooting resource page for product users.
- You will assist in the preparation of funding applications and reports.
- You will help to set up a range of meetings with project stakeholders for the week ahead.

Important role information
The position reports to the Head of the Innovation program.
Employment is full time 12 months fixed term contract. Part-time arrangements will be considered.
The salary for this role is $70,000 per annum (pro rata) (plus 11% superannuation) with annual leave loading and generous salary packaging options.
This role will be based at our Melbourne office with 40% of the month in the workplace with hybrid working arrangements.
