We currently have an opportunity for a Project Coordinator to join our Brisbane team.
Key Activities/Accountabilities
- Respond to requests of new and existing clients
- Retrieve rates from shipping lines, airlines and overseas offices
- Prepare quotations for clients, potential clients, overseas/interstate offices
- Formulate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for clients
- Import and export project forwarding
- Liaise with Customs and Operations Departments on project freight forwarding matters
- Track shipments and provide status reports to clients and/or overseas offices
- Communicate all shipment delays and issues to clients and/or overseas offices
- Attend project related conferences / exhibitions, as required
- Attend project cargo load outs / discharge and supervise delivery and heavy lifts
Skills and experience
- Relevant tertiary education in Logistics, Supply Chain or International Business
- 5 + years’ industry experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Strong understanding of airfreight and sea freight (both FCL and LCL), as well as Australian road carriers
- High level of expertise in MS office suite
