An exciting opportunity has become available for two Project Coordinators to join our national structural steel contractor based in Brisbane CBD. As a result of continued growth, the company has secured a strong pipeline of industrial/commercial warehousing projects for 2024 and 2025. The Role - What will you do?
For this office-based role, you will report into the Operations Manager and provide project support by way of assisting with the onsite delivery of the projects.
You will be responsible for reviewing construction and structural documentation and technical specifications and assist the Design Coordinator with design management requirements and shop drawing reviews.
You will assist with the coordination and management of subcontractors onsite including the review and issuing of RFIs, whilst reviewing trade specific variations with the Contract Administrator.
Working closely with key Stakeholders (riggers, suppliers, operations team) you will assist with ensuring projects are tracked and managed in accordance with quality, OH&S and program requirements.
Skills & Experience - What do you need?
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
2+ years of experience within the Construction industry, experience on warehousing projects would be a bonus, but not essential
Degree qualifications in Construction Management, Building and Construction, Engineering or relevant site background
Knowledge and experience in structural steel a bonus, but not essential
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Excellent people management skills
Ability to work unsupervised and also be able to work within a team environment
Be self-motivated with an outstanding work ethic
Excellent time management and attention to detail skills
Be proactive in maintaining a strong client focus
Experience in Workbench (preferred but not essential)
