We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our global biomedical client. The role is to support the development and implementation of new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility here in Melbourne. (Victoria, Australia).
The Role
The Project Engineer be responsible for supporting elements of the Utilities design and execution for the capital project. Utilities includes clean utilities, chemicals, waste treatment, building services including mechanical services, HVAC, fire services and architecture. This role will be responsible for delivering a subset of these disciplinary areas in alignment with their expertise and experience.
Main Responsibilities:
- Supporting aspects of construction and HVAC/Utilities works
- Design Qualification
- Equipment FATs
- Off-site Fabrication and On-site installation of equipment
- SAT (Site Acceptance Testing)
- Commissioning of the Equipment
- Qualification of the graded room/facilities
- Driving value engineering initiatives and maintaining strategic engagement across multiple local and global business groups.
The successful candidate will have the following skills & experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferably in the mechanical discipline) from a recognised tertiary educational institution
- A minimum of three years relevant experience, preferably in a project and/or manufacturing environment.
- Utilities/HVAC experience
- Exp in commissioning and qualification
- Exp in generating documents for commissioning and qualification
- Experience in change control
- Seeking someone who is hands on
- Ability to work independently
- Able to troubleshoot and solve problems
- Regulated industry experience advantageous
- Strong stakeholder management skills
