Our experience sets us apart.As a Project Manager, you will lead and manage significant, visible projects/programmes or a range of projects with strategic impact. This involves the selection and management of project resources, multiple negotiations at all levels and the need to network internally and externally in order to achieve project objectives and ensure that business goals and strategies are met.You will be responsible for the overall development of the cabin interior for Qantas aircraft to be delivered to the Qantas Group. Leading a team of project engineers and key internal stakeholders, you will work with external suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of cabin products to support aircraft production. You will develop and maintain the suite of project governance materials and report progress against objectives to key stakeholders.You’ll be encouraged to challenge the norm, to voice opinions or present new ideas. You will maintain the project is on track to cost and schedule while managing emerging risks. You will be given the opportunity to travel to support your role.You’ll have –Have 10+ years Aviation and/or multi-million-dollar project experienceLead the detailed project plan, with multi-disciplinary view to manage and achieve project outcomes, on time and within budgetEnsure project is being appropriately supported and resourced to deliver the objectivesDevelop business plans, cases within the overarching project to realise the project objectives for Qantas GroupUse change pulse checks and readiness assessments to track ongoing project and business confidence on change managementProvide technical support across a matrix environment capturing all key areas for EIS, such as engineering, flight operations, airport operations, customer serviceCommunicate at all levels, especially with the Board and GMC, be influential, organised and effectiveConfidently facilitate steering groups, cross-functional forums, working groups, and resolve issues in all of these settings.Comply with all responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities as required by the Group management system standard and associated policiesRelevant Professional qualification, e.g. professional accreditation in project managementExperience in Aircraft Engineering highly desirableWhy Qantas?You’ll join a team where creativity and passion are encouraged.
