Who are we looking for?
Under the guidance of the Chief Risk Officer, a Delivery Excellence (DX) Program has been established to promote simplification, efficiency, best practice and an Enterprise-wide approach to project delivery across GHD. As a Project Manager. You will be responsible for managing the overall Delivery Excellence (DX) Program, and as needed, will assist in managing individual pillars that form part of the DX portfolio of work.
Currently the DX Program incorporates six pillars:
- Project Delivery Governance: Clearly understood decision making framework for endorsement of changes of any item impacting project delivery across the Enterprise
- Competency Development: A competency development and training architecture, that is regularly maintained and updated, and reflective of the current requirements for our PM, PD, DM/TL and BGL cohort and drives delivery excellence
- Project Delivery Portal: Project Delivery material that is regularly maintained and updated, and reflective of the current requirements expected of our PM, PD and BGL cohort and drives delivery excellence
- Project Delivery System: A new project delivery system that enables compliance, aligns with GHD Quality requirements and proactively supports consistent delivery best practice. The system is to be designed to be flexible to incorporate any future initiatives
- PMO Alignment: Consistent purpose, approach and buy in across all regions to how PMOs operate / support project delivery.
- Major Project Delivery Capability Development: An Enterprise-wide major project framework and leadership capability that is consistently applied across all regions and development program with all regions actively involved in the development of major projects specialists
- Assisting Strategy enablement, our Make It Real strategy sets out a vision to Transform our Core by changing the way we do business for the better
- Providing leadership in project delivery across the Enterprise, driving a consistent approach in all regions
- Supporting the development of our people across a standardized set of competencies and skills that apply across the entire organization
- Aligning emerging systems within the existing framework, keeping everything relevant to the overarching principles of project delivery at GHD
- Driving continuous improvement through the use of the project delivery framework, adopted across the business
- Supporting One GHD, team mobility and work-sharing as everyone goes about delivering projects in the same way
- Improving performance by providing enhanced tools to simplify and provide efficient and effective ways of delivering projects
- Previous experience in a similar program management role preferred.
- 8+ years experience in program, project, resource and senior stakeholder management.
- A proactive nature focussing on driving outcomes.
- Experience or interested in learning agile project management and design thinking methods.
- Ability to handle diverse situations, multiple projects and rapidly changing priorities.
- Proven analytical skills and ability to exercise sound judgement and decisiveness with problem solving.
- Workshop facilitation and engagement of large teams.
- Design thinking, agile delivery and sprint management.
- Exceptional people relationship, influencing and networking skills.
- Sound written and oral communications skills, including consultation and negotiation, and the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships and influence people at all levels.
- Proven experience and passion to drive transformation within a fast-paced organisation.
- Extensive experience managing an indirect team and driving high-performance outcomes.
- Knowledge of SharePoint and MS Teams applications
- Design thinking, Agile delivery and Sprint management
