Duties
- Demonstrate leadership to the project team and work closely with the site teams to ensure subcontractors’ & suppliers complete works to a high quality, cost, and program as per contractual requirements.
- Manage pre-construction Tender submission, reviews, and risk identification
- Having excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Maintaining stringent OHS and environmental standards on projects.
- Be integrally involved in assisting with the continual improvement of procedures and systems.
- Ensure that efficient programming is adhered to and achieved.
- Achieves project targets within the allocated budget and timeframe through effective management.
- Preparation of accurate monthly reports with attention to risk management.
- Management of the Quality Assurance processes.
- Ensuring the works are completed to a high-quality finish.
- Providing leadership always to both staff and subcontractors and works to create a team culture on site and in the office.
- Manage the close out and defect process.
Skills and Requirements
- Proven ability to manage and lead a team.
- A strong attention to detail.
- Solid planning and commercial construction project expertise.
- At least 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager working on commercial and residential projects.
- Have excellent attention to detail and problem solving.
- Excellent negotiating skills.
Desirable
A Tertiary qualification in construction, project management, structural engineering or a related degree with the equivalent knowledge and skills.
