About the Role
This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Project Manager passionate about environmental sustainability in healthcare. As the Project Manager for the Australian healthcare Carbon Lab (AhrC Lab), you'll work on crucial research initiatives, collaborating closely with A/Prof. Forbes McGain and Dr. Scott McAlister. You will also collaborate with other clinicians at Western Health, other MDHS linked hospitals/healthcare facilities, and other MDHS staff interested in healthcare sustainability. This role offers the chance to make a tangible impact on global healthcare practices, working alongside a dynamic team dedicated to pioneering sustainable solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide expert project management, delivering on Faculty and Chancellery initiatives, in collaboration with Faculty Directors, School Managers and Faculty leadership 
  • Manage the development and implementation of project plans to stated objectives 
  • Develop project governance frameworks to monitor implementation, progress delivery and risk 
  • Participate in the initiation, set-up, and implementation of AHCL research projects independently and as a member of the team and coordinate contractual matters where appropriate 

Who We Are Looking For
You thrive on building relationships and excel in influencing stakeholders across various sectors. You actively engage with hospital staff, demonstrating independence and adaptability, particularly in healthcare settings.

You will also have:

  • Undergraduate qualification in a relevant area such as environmental science (Masters preferred, but not essential) 
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver complex projects, or sets of projects and initiatives 
  • Demonstrated ability to make complex judgments and decisions and provide recommendations for resolution 
  • Demonstrated ability to perform quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis under a range of research methodologies. 
  • Evidence of ability and desire to build an academic and/or policy making career trajectory.
