Salary: Band 6 - $90,571 - $99,983 + 11 % superannuation

We are looking for a Project Manager in the Civil Projects team to coordinate and the delivery of assigned capital works projects from the planning to operational phase. This includes knowledge in design standards, documentation, permits and approvals, construction and contract administration for multiple and concurrent civil engineering projects in an effective, efficient and collaborative manner to achieve the defined corporate objectives.
What you’ll be working on
- Project manage assigned multiple and concurrent capital works projects (ie road rehab, road resurfacing, footpath, kerb & channel and drainage projects with guidance as required from the Team Leader, Civil Delivery.
- Contribute to ensure approved projects are delivered on time, within budget and meet best practice standards whilst following Council’s procurement policies and contract administration processes and procedures.
- Assist with the development of budget estimates and ensure budgetary targets and limits are adhered to using financial management methods for monitoring and reporting of Council and external funding allocations.
- Communicate and collaborate with multiple stakeholders including contractors, consultants, community members, and officers from a range of Council and other government departments to ensure positive working relations and clear understanding and acknowledgement of the various approvals and compliance requirements.
- Tertiary qualifications in project management, engineering or design disciplines, architecture, construction, quantity surveying, building surveying or
- A current Victorian driver’s licence.
- Knowledge of design and construction issues, and ability to present practical solutions, associated with capital works.
This is a great opportunity for someone to work on civil infrastructure projects within the civil projects team. You’ll have the opportunity to utilise and enhance your contract and project management skills in prioritising and delivery of annual capital works program including budget preparation.
