A large Government Community healthcare provider requires an experienced Project Manager to join the team with managing minor building & construction project works across 2 of their facilities to support ongoing building operations and clinical staff requirements in an exciting time of growth and modernisation! This position requires an immediate start with an initial 6-month tenure, with further opportunities for additional extensions longer term. This position would be highly suitable for an experienced and trusted project professional who comes from a strong client-side or Government background in project management, engineering, or building & construction, with the ability to take initiative and work independently. Hybrid flexible working from home options is available. Northwest location.
Your new role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:
Project managing a variety of minor work building projects in existing facilities including (but not limited to) internal renovations, state of the art training facility, fit outs, asset upgrades, lighting upgrades, UPS upgrades, security and more.
Liaising with Government stakeholders, external consultants, contractors, trades, and internal clinical staff members
Developing project deliverables, reporting & presenting alongside Management
Financial analysis, cost control and documenting variances
Managing project risks & requirements
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will have:
Qualifications in Engineering, Building & Construction, Facilities Management or Project Management
Demonstrated experience in end-to-end Project Management
Experience in a similar role in Government, healthcare, hospitals, or aged care is highly desirable but not necessary
Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with a range of department representatives and stakeholders
Excellent organisational skills
Ability to easily utilise Excel
