Project Manager - (Junior To Mid Level)

The client:

Large Government Department based in Carseldine. This client offers a great hybrid working arrangement.

The role:
 
The role is a Junior to Mid levelProject Manager for the SharePoint to Cloud (SP2C) Project to work as part of the SharePoint to Cloud project team.

The project is now moving into the delivery phase and needs to accelerate the completion of site design, development and migration of Intranet content in order to meet the planned go-live of June 2024 and broader project delivery to June 2025.

The Work Stream Lead will work with multi-disciplinary teams within an MSP program and will use a PRINCE2 project management approach for delivery.

The role will manage and contribute to a variety of work packages and project deliverables across the lifecycle of the project as agreed with the SP2C Project Director. This is a large, complex project and the Work Stream Lead will be required to engage with and/or lead project, program, technical, business and vendor resources to deliver activities such as deployment planning, site migration, and change management.

What you need to demonstrate:

• Proven experience working in a similar capacity on complex enterprise level ICT projects in a PRINCE2 environment
• Must have Advanced skills in MS Project, Visio (Preferred) and Excel.
• Sharepoint Online knowledge is a plus
• PRINCE2 certification 
• Previous experience working with migration projects in a large, complex, government organisation.
• Understanding of agile project delivery practices and demonstrated experience operating within agile delivery environment.
• Negotiation skills with business and technical groups and demonstrated ability to build consensus among many stakeholders.
• Attention to detail with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills. 

This role will perform Project Management activities and has the following outcomes/accountabilities:

• Successful delivery of project work stream to agreed project parameters, outcomes and schedule.
• Effective engagement with business, vendors and project stakeholders.
• Development and update of project stream artefacts in compliance with the department's governance and project management requirements.
• Adherence to defined configuration, change and problem management (and all other IT Service Management) processes.
• Project status monitoring and reporting as per the department's governance requirements.
• Effective management of the following: risks and issues, scope, quality, configuration, allocated project budget and resources.

Working Arrangement
Hybrid working but must attend the Carseldine office every Wednesday and 1 other day of your choosing.
