YOUR OPPORTUNITY
As our ‘Project Manager’, you will spearhead our mission to deliver projects in full and on time, all while optimising gross profit and identifying opportunities for savings. With a focus on continuous improvement, you'll lead a dynamic team, managing an average of 4-5 projects simultaneously. Your expertise in construction, coupled with your tech-savvy approach and proficiency in PM software like Workbench, will drive our success. Based out of our bustling Collins Street office in Melbourne, you'll collaborate seamlessly with our team to achieve exceptional results
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
Client Communication and Stakeholder Management:
- Maintain clear communication with clients to address concerns and manage expectations effectively.
- Provide stakeholders with regular progress updates and communicate project risks effectively.
Project Planning and Coordination:
- Create and manage project plans to ensure timely task completion and budget adherence.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate design requirements and resolve design-related issues.
- Oversee accurate preparation of technical drawings and specifications.
- Conduct on-site assessments to gather project data and inform decision-making.
Resource Management and Documentation:
- Develop and monitor project budgets to optimise resource allocation and control expenses.
- Use project management software to enhance workflow efficiency and collaboration.
- Assess changes to project scope, schedule, and budget accurately.
- Manage on-site activities and subcontractors for efficient project execution.
- Prepare project invoices and maintain accurate financial records.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and prepare thorough handover documentation.
ABOUT YOU
Are you a seasoned Project Manager with a deep understanding of construction processes? Excellent!
We need your keen eye for detail and your unwavering commitment to enhancing time, quality, and cost. Your outstanding communication skills will ensure seamless collaboration within our team and with our valued clients.
To be successful, you will need:
- Previous experience of 5 + years in a similar ‘senior’ Project Manager role (experience as a fitout or construction Project Manager would be ideal).
- Previous experience working with Structural or Architectural steel will be highly regarded.
- A strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, equipment (previous experience in a trade background will be highly regarded).
- Exceptional time management skills, capable of multitasking and overseeing 4-5 projects simultaneously. Proficient in meeting deadlines and excelling under high-pressure situations to deliver exceptional results.
- A ‘professional’ on all levels with excellent people leadership and communication skills to deal with a diverse range of stakeholders, from trades to senior management.
- Ability to make decisions - you thrive on taking accountability, responsibility and solving problems.
- Possess a high IT proficiency with the ability to seamlessly use Microsoft Office Suite and Project Management software (‘Workbench’ or similar).
- Highly detail orientated and take great pride in delivering exceptional outcomes.
- Possess a positive, ‘can do’ attitude and are a real team player - embodying our client’s culture.
