Role Overview:
The Project Lead HCM & Payroll Systems Deployment will be responsible for all the aspects of managing the implementation of the Human Capital Management and Payroll systems. They will also manage the decommissioning of legacy systems. The ideal candidate will possess excellent stakeholder engagement skills and take them on a journey. Inter-departmental communication, change management, service delivery, customer-focused approach, best practice initiatives and contract management are some of the key requirements for this role.
Key responsibilities:
• Develop and implement change management and communication strategies for system deployment and decommissioning of legacy system.
• Proactively engage stakeholders to minimise the impact of software and process changes.
• Take full end-to-end responsibility for the design and delivery of projects.
• Develop and update project documentation in accordance with the Council's Project Management Framework.
• Undertake risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Implement rigorous completion and operational handover regimes for all projects.
• Evaluate tenders and quotations and provide recommendations for action.
• Ensure relevant policies and procedures are reviewed regularly.
• Lead regular audits and review team activities.
About you:
• Tertiary qualification in Project Management or related discipline.
• Extensive experience in engaging and managing stakeholders and managing software implementation projects.
• Detailed knowledge of project management frameworks and procurement processes.
• Strong customer service ethic, well established communication and collaborative skills.
• Excellent organisational, negotiation and conflict management skills.
• Analytical by nature and good problem-solving skills.
• Autonomous and good people management skills.
