Project Officer

Governance and Quality Assurance

Hunter District Community Corrections

Location: Hunter District

Employment type: Ongoing Permanent full-time (35 hours per week)

Salary: $106,025 - $117,363 plus super and leave loading (Clerk Grade 7/8)

Your role

This role works closely with the Community Corrections Director, Hunter’s District to ensure the district maintains a high standard of professional service delivery.

You will perform project management and support activities to contribute to the development and delivery of a range of projects in line with established objectives.

Community Corrections work with adults subject to court mandated orders. We collaborate with other agencies and community partners and seek to restore people’s dignity, to promote agency and self-determination and to enable reintegration.

What you’ll do

As a highly motivated Project Officer, this role will see you responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Provide a range of project management and support services, including preparation of reports and briefs, coordinating resources, maintaining project documentation, and implementing and monitoring project plans, to ensure project outcomes are achieved.
  • Evaluate purpose to ensure accessibility of quality information and contribute to the achievement of project outcomes.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders and coordinate working groups, committees, and consultations to facilitate exchange of information and support project completion in line with project plans.
  • Source, collate and compile data and information to identify emerging issues and track and report on project progress against established milestones and deliverables.
  • Undertake research and analysis, identifying trends and preparing project briefs, to support informed decision-making and planning.

What we’re looking for

  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Enjoy driving and executing projects, often under tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of the criminal justice system, offender management and the role of Community Corrections is desirable.
