In this role, you'll:be responsible for performing day-to-day project management, operational and administrative activities to support the delivery of Natural Disaster Recovery projects, specifically relating to slope repairs. This includes developing and managing efficient project and administrative systems and processes to support effective time management and liaison on behalf of team members and ensure co-ordination of briefs and reports.
The Project Officer will also be responsible for:
• Providing project and operational support, including monitoring and reporting on project plans, milestones and deliverables, to ensure time, cost and quality indicators are in line with approved project plans.
• Identifying and collating end user project requirement and research options for solutions using industry and SME sources.
• Communicating with relevant stakeholders to provide updates regarding project status and implementation issues.
• Managing delivery of projects and coordinating the delivery of services to support project outcomes.
• Working cooperatively and demonstrating a continuous improvement and growth mind-set by contributing and testing ideas for improving work practices, collaborating with internal and external business areas, to achieve objectives and work outcomes.

This is a fixed term full-time role up to 1 May 2025 located at Grafton.
About youYou have appropriate trade or tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated relevant, equivalent professional experience in road and bridge construction and maintenance.
You have demonstrated experience in project management, research and data analytical skills and proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office applications.You use your excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills to proactively build strong relationships with an array of internal and external stakeholders.
You are a self-starter who is able to hit the ground running. You are able to think creatively to solve problems and find solutions. You’re flexible and proactive and use your initiative and organisational skills to get things done.
You have experience working on your own and in teams to tight deadlines and have a successful track record in delivering great customer experience outcomes.
Any experience or qualifications in Safety, Environment and/or Quality will be highly regarded.
You hold a current unrestricted NSW Motor Vehicle driver’s licence.
You may be required to work outside of normal working hours on occasion, and you may be required to travel throughout the region and work at locations away from home on occasion.
This is an in-person, on-site role.
